United Way of Hastings Announces New On-line Volunteer Network

(HASTINGS, MN)  The United Way of Hastings (UWH) is pleased to announce the launching of a one-stop shop to locate information in the Hastings area regarding volunteer opportunities, community resources, and community events. 

A new online web-based network for volunteers and volunteer opportunities is now available in the Hastings community and the UWH is pleased to spearhead the effort.  The web-based network will allow volunteers to find opportunities that match their interests.  Anyone is able to access the network to search for opportunities. Registered volunteers will be able to use the full functionality of the network and receive e-mail alerts of opportunities of interest.  In addition, the network provides a calendar of community events based on the volunteer opportunities that are listed for such events.

Participating organizations can post volunteer opportunities, have access to a community calendar to promote events, create donor opportunities, and much more. 

“The launching of this new one-stop shop for volunteer opportunities will have a significant impact on the Hastings community,” said Tara Donohue Weiss, Executive Director.  “Organizations and volunteers will now be able to find each other with ease.”
