Mobile Giving Now Available at United Way of Hastings

The United Way of Hastings (UWH) is now accepting donations via any mobile, Internet-enabled device. 

“For those donors that are on the go, this opportunity makes mobile giving perfect for them,” said Tara Donohue Weiss, Executive Director.  “We wanted to inform donors that they can do their charitable giving right from their smartphones.” 

Simply visit www.unitedwayofhastings.org using your phone's web browser and select GIVE at the top of page. Mobile giving is made possible through the United Way of Hastings’ partnership with GiveMN.org.  GiveMN.org provides nonprofits across Minnesota with the capability of processing online donations, and now mobile donations processing.

Donors will also find the pledging option on the United Way of Hastings’ donation page.  Pledging is the easiest way to commit to donating.

Combined with mobile giving, the UWH has established a Quick Response (QR) Code.  QR Codes are similar to codes on products that are scanned at grocery stores.  More organizations are utilizing QR codes to make it easy for users to access information, products, services, and, for the United Way of Hastings, to accept donations.

“Combined with mobile giving, our QR code makes a powerful call to action to donate or pledge anywhere at any time,” said Tara Donohue Weiss, Executive Director.  “Scanning our QR code on your mobile phone takes you directly to our donation page.”
